We did! I do believe that your ds will be fine seeing the movie. The ? regarding the 3d lies mainly with, will ds wear sunglasses? If you don't wear them during the 3d movie the screen is distorted.
My four year old did great and said the movie was scary, but has since asked to see it almost daily. My 2.5 year old didn't like the glasses and didn't watch the movie.
We went to it two weekends ago, but our theater also showed it in 2D so that's what we did. Honestly, we didn't make it through to the end. I was even bored watching it. R just wasn't into it because it really isn't a fun, lighthearted movie with music and stuff that kids her age usually love, but was more focused on the plot, which I think would be better suited for older kids.
Of course, it was something to do, and the popcorn was good, so I wouldn't say I regretted it.
Like Josey said, it wasn't that interesting or exciting but it was something to do. My DD did sit through all of it but that was with 8 potty breaks. We didn't do the 3D.
Re: Has anyone seen Monsters vs Aliens 3D ?
