Today, my students (high school special education) shot down my number 1 boy name choice---George. They say it is "an old man's name". LOL
I wish my BIL/SIL felt the same. After they heard that we had chosen it, they decided that they think it would be a good middle name for the baby they are expecting. What can I do about that? I'm not pregnant right not, as far as I know.
Re: Students shoot down #1 boy name
IMO no, that is not normal at all.
I didn't talk about it as a baby name. That would be unprofessional.
They talk about names that they like/dislike all of the time. Several of them have very young sibs or are uncles/aunts to little nieces/nephews. They also just finished one of those "baby" science/health projects where they had to name an egg and carry it around for two days.
They have DEFINITE opinions on names.
I don't think you can "claim" a name.
Especially if you aren't even pg...
That is a cute story
Don't you hate it when people get nasty and you feel like you have defend your question - when in reality you just didn't want to preface the question with a big ol' explanation.
