i am trying to come up with some ideas of foods to freeze so i can make a list and go buy all the stuff in a couple of weeks. one of my friends is an awesome cook and has offered to do all the cooking for me as long as i buy all the ingredients - this of which i am so thankful for!
i'm thinking meatballs so we can have spaghetti..maybe some chicken parm. idk. anyone have any ideas and/or recipes?
Re: Freezing meals
chicken pot pies
lasagna
baked ziti
shepards pie
Most hotdishes, soups and stews freeze well. Although remember if you freeze anything that has potatoes in it - it doesn't come out well.
I have already frozen a pan of lasagna and a batch of chili.
well who woulda thought it'd be that easy. THANKS!! lol.
I have a freezer-friendly foods tab in my food blog for some ideas & recipes
I'm making meatballs tonight to freeze (and for dinner tomorrow), enchiladas, lasagna, a few pastas, I have a few chicken meals to make, mac and cheese...
Here is what we are making:
-Homemade mac & cheese casserole
-Navy bean soup (using the leftover ham bone from Easter-this is hard to make without a leftover ham bone)
-Chili
-Stuffed shells
We are also going to stock up on Lean Cuisines and Stouffer's Lasagna.
so far I have frozen:
pepper steak
pork chops smothered in campbells
crock pot bbq
baked chicken....I am doing white chicken chili today
