Update: First Internal Today

I just got back from the dr. office and had my first internal done alone with the GBS test. Holy cow it hurt when the dr. was checking me. I didn?t realize she was going to be digging around down there. The GBS test was painless and didn?t even feel anything.

Anyway, I am all closed up no dilatation at all?nothing. I go now every week so hopefully something happens during now and next appointment!

dont worry about it too much, i am 38 weeks and have had no progress at all so far, i have my appointment today to find out if anything changes, some babies just are too comfortable in their homes

It's like you and I had the same morning.  A lovely sawb, what felt like daggers in your vadge, and no progress.  Glad I showed up for that one.  Plus, my doc looked at me at the end and said "You can expect some pretty uncomfortable cramps from the internal, but don't get excited."  Gee thanks.

That's why I saved my first internal for week 39. ?I didn't want the mental anguish of a) knowing I'm closed up like fort knox or b) knowing I'm dilated and thinking I'm gonna go any minute. ?Either way it'd have been torture. ?I wouldn't even have this one 'cept the MW wants me to. ?Bleh - not looking forward to my appt this afternoon!
