I went to the pedi today and he told me to give her chamomile tea with
a teaspoon of sugar in a bottle to help with her upset stomach. She has
only gotten breastmilk so far and I am a little wary of giving her the
tea and also the sugar! has anyone heard of this?
Re: chamomile tea for colicky baby?
I gave 1 ounce of weak tea for colic and it seemed to help. I also did massage on his belly, the I love you's and it really relaxed him, too.
I would try it without the sugar.
i was always told fennel tea. old polish remedy.
fennel is the main ingredient in the 'gripe water'
i would NEVER add sugar to a baby's bottle. hmmm.
my mom always told me to make a tea out of fennel seeds (used for baking) in hot water, cool and add a small bit to my BM (or formula) in a bottle. ALWAYS worked.
