we'll be in Boston for a couple of days next week. dh has never been so he wants to see some sights. what are some fun things to do or places to see that dd and dh will enjoy?
I second the New England Aquarium. We've also taken DD to the Museum of Science - she LOVED the butterfly room. If it's nice, you could also walk the Freedom Trail (starts in Boston Common and hits a lot of Revolutionary history hot spots). There's also the Franklin Park Zoo, walking along the Esplanade along the Charles. You could go up to the observatory in the Prudential building. Hope you have lots of fun!
on the NE Aquarium and Fanuiel Hall - lots of fun places to eat, the Public Garden and Boston Common (attached to each other) are cool, the Esplanade is a neat place to check out the Charles River and see the Half Shell where the Boston Pops play every July 4th. I like the Freedom Trail, Duck Tours, Harvard Square, Paul Revere's House, and always the North End for amazing food and pastries. Qunicy Market (fruit market next to Fanuiel Hall) is open now and a fun place to browse.
Re: where to go/what to see while visiting?
New England Aquarium, the Frog Pond (if its a nice day), or the duck tours are all fun.
My #1 choice would be the aquarium.
