TMI: Could this be early signs of labor?

Since early this morning I've been having contractions.. but they haven't been painful. It's more like I look down and realize that my entire stomach is tensed up in a contraction.(Maybe BH?) I haven't really been able to time them to see how regular they are.

 I've also been feeling slightly crampy and kind of gassy... like I've been needing to fart but can't. (sorry if TMI!) Went to the bathroom this morning and what I'm pretty sure was my mucous plug came out.

I'm not in pain.. basically my stomach tenses up. I feel gaseous. My lower back feels a little like it does slightly before I have my period, very slightly achey.

Could this be early signs of labor? Or maybe it is just because I had an internal exam yesterday? I was 3 cm, 50% effaced yesterday.

I am supposed to work late tonight but I called in and said I would be late. I am going to go walk around the neighborhood a few times and see how I feel then. Any other suggestions?

It could be! My early labor experience was really similar. GL!

That all sounds really good to me! Instead of walking around, I'd hop in the bath or take a nap to see if that reduces your symptoms as a sort of test. If it does, at least you'll feel more comfortable. If it doesn't and the feelings intensify, at least you're resting up while you can before the impending birth! Good luck!

All of this sounds like it COULD be signs of labor, but then again it could be nothing.  You can lose your MP and not go into labor for a few weeks.  I know every woman is different, but I have read that contractions start in your back and the ache works it's way around.

Like I said, this could be it, but it could be nothing too.  Good Luck!

I have felt this way since Friday.  I did lose my mucous plug completely and still nothing...argh... good luck,  I hope it's your turn.

It probably is...THe only problem is our bodies can do this stuff for days or weeks up to the delivery which makes planning so hard!! Haha...This has been the case with both of my children so far...Early labor signs/then going to full term...!
