Inglesina Zippy or Peg Perego Pliko P3?

I'm going to be ordering a stroller soon and have narrowed it down to the Inglesina Zippy 2009 and the Peg Perego Pliko P3.  If you own either of these strollers, please let me know what you think.  No stores in my area have the Inglesina in stock and I've seen some reviews that say the Zippy has a full recline, and then others say it doesn't.  Can anyone verify?

Any opinions would be appreciated!

Re: Inglesina Zippy or Peg Perego Pliko P3?

  • We haven't tried it with an actual baby yet but after hours upon hours of research, we bought the 2009 Zippy.  I am quite in love with it and felt it was lighter and better made than the Pliko P3 which it was modeled after.  Folds with one hand, the sun shade is awesome and it DOES have a full recline.  We just ordered the bassinet as well.  Hope that helps!

  • I made the same post over a month ago and still haven't come to a conclusion because it seems that not many people know about the Zippy.

DH is leaning towards the P3 but my SIL has it and it seems like such a mission to fold and put in the car (her baby is 8 months old). When I compared them side by side in store it seemed the zippy was lighter and I preferred the color options. I also really like that the zippy is adaptable to the Graco Snugride Infant seat where the P3 requires a Peg Perego infant seat which is almost twice as expensive as the Graco but the Graco doesn't have coordinating colors to match the Zippy! Errrrr!!!

They are exactly the same thing as far as handling, manufacturing and sturdiness. I simply lean towards the Zippy because it felt easier to fold and the infant seat opts were cheaper (even if it isn't an exact match).

Let me know when you make a decision so maybe I can finally decide too! Big Smile

  • Which store had the Zippy in stock?  Was it a chain or local store?  We tested out the Peg Perego this weekend and were not very impressed.  It took us like 15 minutes of standing there and looking stupid until we figured out how to close the stroller.

One thing I love about the Zippy is the boot cover.  It will be so nice to have that when we take the baby to see Halloween/Christmas parades or when we go to cut down the Christmas tree.  I was leaning toward purchasing the red Zippy, but I read a review that the red actually looks like burnt orange.

I'll keep you posted and you do the same.  :)  Thanks!

  • We have the Zippy, it is AWESOME.  The one hand fold is just amazing, and it really does make a huge difference. Also, it does have a full recline, and the sun shade is great.  We tried ours out in a local baby boutique first--I was sold.  We also got the bassinet feature for it as well.

For me, fold was a huge deal.  I originally wanted another stroller but when it came down to me having to fold it up myself, it was such a pain in the a$$ that I gave up.  The Zippy was a no brainer!  The fold couldn't be any more compact or easy, and it's a well made stroller that will last you!
