how long for molars to pop through?

DD has been working on this molar for a few days. I can see the white blister, but how long before this thing pops through? She's miserable.?

Re: how long for molars to pop through?

  • They seem to take forever.  I think her 1st took over a week (of obvious screaming in the middle of the night and other teething fun).

  • My son actually just got his first molar. I had no clue that he was even teething except for yesterday he acted odd and kept pulling at his chin.

He is a little over 13 months old.

  • DS has been working on his for about almost 3 weeks. He has all his other teeth but molars but these have taken the longest.?
  • I am desperate to see these answers!  DS has been working on his first molars (uppers).  Only one tiny point has poked through on each side, so I think it's going to be a while until they are all the way in.  He is MISERABLE (and making me miserable too!).  We call him The Hulk when he is feeling bad b/c it's like a light switch.  Totally fine one second and then BAM, he's cranky, whiny, fussy, crying, etc.

    GL to you!

  • Couple weeks for DS. He got his top 2 last month. Now hes getting 1 on the bottom, the 4 corners of it are poking through but thats it, its been that way for over a week now. Poor kid.
  • Depends on the tooth! We've had some molars that took about 1 month to come completely in, meaning the front tip comes in, then the back tip, then the mid-section (which was always the most painful for DS). There was one molar where we saw not only a white blister but what looked like a bruise for a good 2 months before the front tip broke through. It all depends on the tooth though!
