Re: dh wants to turn morgan's carseat

  • I hear ya!  Klaire is growing up so fast!  Almost 6 months old and I'm not handling it well at all.  It's so bittersweet.

  • I know what you mean about her getting big, but remember that turning the carseat forward facing is not a milestone. She can still be a big girl and stay rear facing safely until she reaches the limits of the seat. My DS will be 1 y/o on Wednesday, and while he's only about 18.5lbs, I plan on keeping him rfing until he is at least 2 years old (DD stayed rfing until 18mths, but she is a bigger kid).

  • If you're not ready then don't do it. You obviously already know it's safer, so if you don't want to, why do it?

If you need to talk DH into it, the words "internal decapitation" worked like a charm on my DH. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8gU9zzCGA8

  • Keep her rear facing as long as possible,it's so much safer,we kept my ds rear facing til almost 22 months and he was fine until then.
  • I hear ya too.  I am resisting it but Gianna's legs are so long that she is getting really cramped sitting rear facing.
