I admit, I am one of the lucky ones who started to feel the LO move around 20 weeks. I could feel pretty strong movement for the last few weeks. However, now that I am nearing 25 weeks, I am not feeling him nearly as much. I feel him *maybe* once every 4-5 hours and it is very light movement.
I've done some researching and some places have said because the uterus is growing, about this time, his placement and the placenta are much closer which would cushion his kicks more now? If that makes sense? I am not sure.. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this or been told about it.
I've tried the cold water/laying down/etc. I am a little freaked out but I don't want to be the lady who calls her doctor all the time for issues that may not be one. I am just not sure if this is normal or something I should be calling about because I am honestly torn whether it is my own paranoia or something is wrong.
And yes, I realize you're not all doctors on here but I was hoping if someone has had a similar experience or could give some insight. TIA.
Re: Anterior Placenta Ladies: Please Come In!
I have an anterior placenta as well, but I'm only 21 weeks and have just felt maybe a kick or two. I posted something a few hours ago about this. Sorry I don't have any advice for you, but I'll be anxiously awaiting any responses and taking notes!
What a pain this is, huh?? Good luck!
I wouldn't worry. Most doctor's will tell you that you that the baby's movement does not need to be consistent until after 28 weeks when you are supposed to start your kick count. I also have AP. Around 26 weeks I noticed less movements for a couple days. Based on where I was feeling the movements I think the baby just moved so he was kicking the placenta. Either that or he was feeling really lazy for a couple of days.
That said if you don't feel any movement or have an intuition that something is wrong call your doctor. That's what they are there for.
Missed m/c 10/25/10 @ 11.5 weeks

I had anterior placenta with my daughter and I didn't feel her move much during my entire pregnancy. I always told my doctor and he was never concerned. I would only feel her really move like 3-4 times a day.
