Has anyone here ever attended the free days at the Shedd Aquarium? I'm thinking about taking the kids there September/October when they have some free Mondays and Tuesdays.
Is it a mad house? Or are those days not as popular since older kids and families are back in school then?
Re: Ever attend the free days at Shedd?
It's usually a madhouse and there's always a school or two on a field trip. But, it's worth it and it's such a large place that you can still move around freely. Besides, it's better than going during the weekend.
The earlier the better. I would get there about 20 minutes before opening to get in line. Once inside there is enough space to roam but the line outside can be intimidating. Definitely worth it for a free day.
Now Science and Industry free days are awesome! We have been to several and have never had any crowding issues. The next ones are coming up in June.
