to stuff every piece of food on the table in a baby's mouth? Today DS was offered cheese (which makes him throw up), strawberries, lobster and ice cream cake!
I think that people (even those WITH children) forget that babies cannot have everything in site. My MIL tells me every.single.time. I see her that H was eating whatever he could get his hands on at 6 months and she just doesn't understand the new 'rules' these days.
GMIL bought C an Easter basket......filled with candy.....Um. Thanks!!
She said 'Well, its only chocolate!' Yeah a BASKET of it!
I don't know, but it may be my worst pet peeve when it comes to DD. I mean, these kids have their whole lives to try food! Why do we need to make them try it before they are even a year old!? A lot of people I know (names unmentioned...) are junk food freaks and think that the kids in the family should be allowed to have it from day one. It is so annoying and I am constantly telling people not to give her things. I sound like such a worrier to them, but really I just don't think she needs junk food at 8 months (or younger)!

my mother did this today too. i think they think they are making baby happy. and on the flip side it makes the adult happy to see it. but even still, they need to knock it the hell off! my mom almost gave izzy stawberries and ignored my repeated requests to not feed her eggs. i even shooed/smacked her hand away at one point. wtf?
