I've read that it's most likely Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, which is common in pregnancy due to the fluid that is putting pressure on your nerves. It's just that it's a very weird symptom, and makes me worried sometimes...
My peri confirmed carpal tunnel last week in my left wrist. It is always tingly or numb, stays asleep all night long and my thumb all the way to my wrist hurts. He told me to use a brace (I only do it at night to keep it immobilized) and that it would go away after delivery more than likely.

Yup, and it drives me nuts. Wearing a brace at night really help though, especially if you're like me and you have a tendency to curl your wrists while you sleep.

I see my OB on Thursday and I'm guessing that most likely I'll get the same diagnosis... my right hand is constantly tingly or numb, especially the last three fingers... and I already had arthritis in this hand from a previous broken arm... it's just something that I definitely didn't expect from pregnancy.
I must sleep really funky, because usually I wake up quite a few times with hands that need to be shaken out and woken up. I am pretty sure I ball my hands up under me or the pillow. It's a pain in the rear... I just want to sleep through the night and between bathroom wake ups, sleeping hand wake ups and Bug kicking the crap out of me it looks less and less likely anymore. Oh, and my kitty lays on top of me starting about 3am doing the purr and suckle routine. Its sweet, but come on!!!

I feel like my wrists hurt more now than before I was pregnant. My thumb on my left hand has been feeling even weirder than normal. The braces do work. I have to wear one every now and then especially now since my sleeping has changed so dramatically.
I had it with my first in my 3rd Tri. This time I am getting major numbness in just my fingers already. It's really painful and wakes me up. Hopefully it will subside.

I have this same problem, so I wear braces on both hands, and mostly it helps, but I still wake up numb sometimes.
