Ive heard many things about braxton hicks being the preparation your body is doing for labor, but around what week in an estimate do they start happening?
I've heard they start around 6 weeks but you don't feel them until later in your pregnancy. I actually had my first BH this past week. It was... Interesting.
I have a video that we watched last night and it said they should start around 25 weeks, but some first time mom's never notice them. I am a 2nd time mom and they started at 20 weeks. With my first I never noticed them, but remember thinking the baby would get really hard and my stomach would tighten... durr that was a contraction, I just didn't realize it.
Yep, you've had them through most of your pregnancy. I started feeling mine very early, while still in first tri. But I know what they feel like so I knew what it was. I had a LOT in the last tri with DS.
I started having then at 18 weeks. I wasnt sure if that is what it was since I didnt remember having them with DS, but I had an ultrasound done and they saw that I was having "contrations"
Everyone is different. My SIL started feeling them at 16 weeks with both of her pregnancies. I never felt them with my first pregnancy and still haven't this time.
I know I have not felt the baby move, maybe I have had a BH or two? I don't know, I have anxiety, so It could be just in my head. Its sometimes hard to determine whats actually happening or if its just my anxiety playing it up.
