Hi ladies. Here is my story.
I currently live in Oakland, CA but am moving to Houston next week! We did a round of IVF before our move and found out yesterday that we are PG!
If we were staying in CA, my RE would have done an ultra sound in two weeks. Clearly, I will not be here for that.
I called a few IF clinics today and since I am already PG, they are hesitant to take me on as a patient.
I was hoping maybe a High Risk Pregnancy doc may understand more, work some with my RE here, and do the early scan for us.
I already called Houston?Perinatal Associates, but they are out today. Any other recs?
We will be living in Meyerland.
TIA?

My Blog! All about my girls and quilting
i saw dr. kirshon at houston perinatal associates.
i had to have an amnio and had several other issues that my ob wanted second opinions on, and he was wonderful.
there's another doctor in the practice that a friend of ours uses and really likes. can't remember her name, but she's german.
Got it. Thanks! I figure I can "shop around" when I get there, but I need to get in with someone asap to get my u/s scans.

I see a high risk OB.. Dr. Paul I Cook at The OBGYN Center... we did fertity treatments for for #1. He has great equipment and responds to email... He even gave me his cell phone number for questions or concerns...

Hi Kismet21,
Good luck with your move to Houston and Congratulations. Last year I went through IVF myself with Dr. Michael Allon (https://www.infertilityanswers.com/), we loved him and his staff, we stayed with him for the entire first trimester until it was time for us to switch to an ob-gyn since he doesn't deliver babies. And he recomended me to a great OB-gyn Dr. David Zepeda (that's where his wife went for her pregnancy). Dr. Zepeda's office is right down in the medical district on Fannin across the street from all the big hospitals. I had a wonderful experience with him. And we delivered at Methodist hospital which was great.
Dr Paul Cook is a regular ob/gyn; he's not an MFM. I do very much like him, and I know his patients all have great things to say. I worked with him very sparingly when I was a medical student.
If you are looking for an MFM, Dr. Alfredo Gei at The Methodist Hospital is wonderful. He has an outstanding bedside manner and genuinely cares about his patients. If I had any high risk issues, he would be my doctor hands down. I've known him since medical school.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Good luck!
