I take my son to Mother's Day Out each week, and for the second time I've ended up looking like a jerk. The first was Halloween, and now Easter. Neither time did they send home a note that said there would be a holiday celebration and to bring treats for the other kids.
For Halloween they did send home something the week before that said to dress them up in costume, but nothing about treats for the other kids. Then this week they had an Easter celebration, and all the other moms brought cute little homemade goodies for the classmates. There was nothing for Christmas though, so it's not like it's every holiday. And I'm not even sure how many kids are in his class now, since some have moved up.
I feel like a thoughtless jerk. I'd be happy to bring stuff, but I feel like I should get some kind of notice. Is this an unwritten rule I just don't know about?
