We love this name for a girl. It's in our top two. It's from the book of Psalms. I've heard it translated in lots of different ways, but it means something like "reflect and praise God." And it's not pronounced like Sela Ward (which rhymes with "ella"), it's prounounced like "say-luh." Middle name would be Kate.
I also love that it's in the 900s in popularity according to SS, so it's pretty uncommon.
We have gotten very mixed reviews on this. What are your thoughts?

Actually, I like it. Lauryn Hill sings a song called Selah that I adore.
I agree. I also though Sela Ward's name was pronounced this way all these years! Selah is pretty but if there are evidentally three ways to say it, then she'll be called all three.
