Best baby carrier for back problems?

Hello. Wondering if anyone has done any research on baby carriers - my research has brought me to the Ergo baby carrier. I have chronic lower back problems related to a bulging disc. I'd like to have a carrier that is comfortable and hopefully doesn't put too much added pressure on my back. I'm not thrilled that you can't carry baby facing forward in the Ergo, but if it's the best option for back problems, I can live with that. Anyone found anything better?

I would say the ergo which I registered for.  You can put baby forward facing in it though?

I haven't tried the Ergo (or any carriers) myself but I have heard great things about it.  Also, the Moby wrap is good about distributing the weight evenly across your back, too, so it doesn't strain (and you can put your baby forward-facing if you want).  GL!

Moby carriers have very even distributed weight, I'm using it because of shoulder issues!

a friend of mine has the moby wrap and loves it - says it's great for her back.

The ergo was rec'd to me so I registered for that one. I also bought a couple of sling carriers too.

love my ergo, but no, you can't do forward facing. ?for that you could try a baby k'tan or moby. ?you probably want somethign that goes on both shoulders (unlike a sling) to help w/ your back problems.

i can't rec the ergo highly enough...it's my #1 favorite baby item!?
