Eww... tums are disgusting...

I have never had heartburn in my life until PG, therefore I've never tried Tums before. I can't take this heartburn anymore so I tried the sample pack I got in my goodie bag from the dr... I can't stand chalky stuff so I didn't expect it to be pleasant but really... yuck!! And they are even the "Smoothies" that are supposed to melt in you mouth... any better recommendation?? TIA :D

    The smoothies are gross...try the mixed berry or the tropical fruit. I actually buy the wal-mart brand and I find them tasty.

    If you didn't like the smoothies, I would NOT try the regular ones..they are awful!! I don't mind the smoothies though.  I take 2 tums every day for the calcium so i'm used to the taste, sorry i'm not muchhelp.

    Yeah, just here to ditto that thought on the disgustingness. I got the smoothies too, and they make me want to hurl, but its either take them or spend all night throwing up in my mouth :/

    I use the Tums assorted tropical fruit and am a big fan! ?They work quickly and I think they taste like Smarties!

    IMO, the smoothies are much nastier than regular Tums.  I usually buy the tropical fruit flavor, but I stay away from the yellow ones.  Yuck.  Spearmint isn't too bad either.

    Tums are my BFF, although I totally hate the chalkiness. I eat one green one with one pink one, and the flavor combo is at least more bearable. I WILL NOT touch the orange ones though. Unless I'm practically dying.

    I was having heartburn so badly that I was throwing up even with Tums.  My doctor had mercy on me and ok'd Zantac.  Life is so much better now!  GL!

    I don't mind them that much. ?It's not pleasant, but it's wayyyy better than burping all night. ?I have the assorted berry ones and I like the purple best.?

    TUMS are my very best friend and unfortunately I am out of them tonight. My Dr. told me it was ok to take Malox as well, but have never had that so I don't know what its like.

    I carry the rolls in my purse everywhere, and there are 3 bottles of various amounts in my house. ?I would be in so much agony without them.

    But the chalkiness can be too much at times.?
