We left town for about 6 months last year so we just emptied the pool to save us the $80 a month it would cost us to have someone take care of it for us.

Well it was a big mistake.  The surface cracked all over and we have two structural cracks that are going to cost big time to fix.

When it's all said and done we'll have spent over $7000.00 to get it done.

We could do it a much cheaper way and only get it sanded and acid washed but we're getting pebble tech instead and hoping that when we sell in a few years we'll get a nice return on it.
