REOM

You still here?

I can see your FB comment in my email, but can not log in at work.  I do/did have exercise induced asthma.  I needed an inhaler more when I was younger (young 20s).  I just went to my regular doctor and she took care of everything.  There isn't really a scientific way of diagnosing this from what I remember.  They just asked me a bunch of questions and it kinda clicked.

So just your regular doctor then?

I don't know what the heck is going on with me. I've been sick, I've always had allergies, I just never had this wheezing and it scared me.

    Thanks for the info!

  • Did you google exercise induced asthma?  I think it usually kicks in about 15-20 min into aerobic activity and then it is coughing, wheezing, and the inability to catch your breath.

Yeah, that's how I felt last night. Out of breath when I don't think I should have been, and wheezing. But I have been sick and coughing anyway, so it's hard to tell. I guess I should make a doc appt. Blech,  I hate going to the doctor.

Are you counting down the days? When is your last day of work?

  • I haven't officially decided yet.  I had an internal yesterday with basically no progress down there.  She is head down and at station -2, but not dialated or anything yet.  I bet she stays put until the end.  My last day will either be April 22 or April 28.  My problem with working the 27 and 28 is that we have state testing those days, which is major serious in TX.  I am scared to death I will go into labor during that, since it is so close to my due date.  Right now, I am just playing it by ear.  :)

Gotcha, that is the smart thing to do.

I hear ya about those standardized tests. That's why I like teaching the lower grades. I hated doing test prep.

Well, if it any encouragement, I was examined at 7:30pm, with zero progress. Then went into labor 4 hours later! So it can happen quickly, those internal exams don't really mean much.

  • You don't know how happy that makes me.  I don't mind being pg, but the suspense is killing me.  I just wish I had a date and time of her arrival.  My OB will only talk induction after 39 weeks and only b/c Maren is SO big already.  I just want to know when she is coming, dang it.

LOL you never know! I was beyond shocked when Emi was born so early.

How big is Maren? I must have missed that...

  • I had a sono at 34 weeks and 5 days and they said she measured 6 lb 6 oz and 19.25 inches long.  She is ALL leg already and has tons of hair (at least it looked like it).  Her profile looks a lot like Noah.  I can't wait to see.  They said if I make it to 40 weeks, she'll probably be 9.5-10 pounds.  OUCH!

Oh wow! That is so exciting. I remember just crying when I saw that last U/S with Gina and could actually see her precious little face.

Will you have another U/S before the end?

  • I don't think so.  I am going weekly for NST, so they are just kinda monitoring her that way.  I must have had 8-9 sono's with her.  It's nuts.

Yeah, it is almost the end! So excited for you. I can't wait to see that new squishy little girl!
