Just since there seemed to be some confusion about this. Small breasted women and large breasted women can both breastfeed, assuming there is nothing else causing issues.
And whether or not you leak colostrum in pregnancy also has no bearing on your future milk supply or ability to nurse. ywia ![]()
Re: Breast size has nothing to do with milk supply
THANK YOU!
Coming from a very large breasted woman (you are only large if you are too large for VS so a DD or smaller does not count, sorry) who has been BFing since June 2007.
Thank you!
Oh SO TRUE! But Advice is needed!
Ok! for all of us first timers who already had large breast (DDD/F that counts right) is there a chain store that actually will have nursing bras that will fit? I already have issues finding a bra, and now that they are going to be filling out at the least. I need advice on where to shop for new ones.
And I have small B cups with my milk in (A cup pre-pregnancy) and my daughter has been in the 75th-90th percentile for height and weight her whole life. So JAR, we are great examples of both ends of the spectrum.
Erinb31 at least you can find a bra! Most store at least carry bra up to DD but when you get to DDD or more hahaha the world thinks you must have had implants and therefore don't "need" a bra (the plastic inside you hold you up). Yes DD is large but unless it you are a small band number to with it (aka under 36) You can still find a bra, even at Wal-Mart. Sigh My bra are already tight and now I am afriad of putting them on in the morning just to find they dont fit anymore! I feel like I'm going through pubity agian.
I didnt like it then and I dont now. Please boob don't grow!
I am a DDD as well. My fear is that one of the guys in my department will make a snide comment referring to milk production and I will have to kill them.
I may need a getaway driver.
Agreed. I'm a 34DD almost DDD. While it is hard to find bras that size, its not impossible. expensive, but do-able. My heart goes out to the big boobied women!
