Huron Valley- Sinai.... Any thoughts?

Hi Everyone... My husband and I are trying to get pregnant.   My doctor's office works with Huron Valley-Sinai.  Has any one toured?  Has anyone been there?

  • I will have my baby there.  My neighbor, good friend, several coworkers and my sister have all given birth there.  they all had great experiences there.  my neighbor delivered her first there at 29 weeks and wouldn't go anywhere else.  she is having her second there also.  she is currenntly at 31 weeks and is there because she has already started to dialate.  they are still really happy with the hospital.  my sister had her son there 5 weeks early and was really happy with how they took care of him,   I have started taking birthing classes last week and really like the rn that is teaxching the class.  we get our tour next week.

  • I had DS there and I loved it.  The entire nursing staff is great.  They took excellent care of all of us ( I say all of us because they were great to DH also).  I highly recommend this hospital.
  • I have been there for both of my son's births (c-sec) and will be going back in Sept. to deliver my third. Looooove that hospital and all of the staff!!!

By the way, if it tells you anything...I live in Rochester Hills and continue to drive because I feel so confident in that hospitals abilities.

You will not be dissapointed! :)

  • I had been thinking about going there, but my RE's nurse said they didn't recommend it.  She didn't give reasons why, but it may be that I'm high risk and they would prefer me to be in a larger hospital.

LOVE Huron Valley :) I delivered my son there and I cannot say enough great things about them! It was so quiet and peaceful (unlike Beaumont....sorry!). I felt like I was the only patient there and the nurses were amazing. I had such great help. My OB's office is now delivering at the new Henry Ford in W. Bloomfield, I know it will be great, but I was disappointed to hear that I won't have my next baby there......

The only downfall is that they don't have a high-risk NICU.......so that is why the poster with triplets probably said that her RE did not recommend that hospital. However, should you need a more high-risk NICU, I'm sure your OB has another hospital that they would send you to!

    GL!

  • This reply is a little late, but I had my daughter there last year, and I loved it! The nurses were great to me, my mom, and DH. They also took excellent care of DD. My OB is also moving to Henry Ford now, like previous poster said. Not sure if she's through Women's Health Care Physicians. Anyways, this is how much I liked the hospital...I ended up with a c-section, and the doctor said I could be released on a Wednesday. I told him no, I wanted to stay an extra day. The nurses were so amazing and helpful. I didn't want to leave. And when we left, we got a ton of diapers and formula.

Also, I know of the teacher for the birthing class. She is awesome, and we loved her. Can't remember her name, but she's got red hair.
