Weird m/s cures

The two foods that settle my stomach are chicken broth (the saltier the better, noodles optional!) and boiled eggs.  Unfortunately the settled feeling doesn't last for long, but it does provide some temporary relief and tastes so good going down!

Do you have any odd foods that help your tummy?

Re: Weird m/s cures

  • with my last pregnancy, Lemon Heads were my go to "food" that i used when ever I felt nauseous. Worked every time.
  • Loading the player...
  • Preggie Pops! I bought them at babies-r-us, they are sour candy suckers (or some wierd flavors like ginger and lavendar) and yeah for the first 8 weeks these suckers really worked. They also come in hard candy drops without the sucker stick.
  • Yup, fried chicken.  When I start to feel nauseaus I go for the fried chicken and everything is a-ok.
  • For me it's a big bowl of Cheerios with ICE COLD milk!
  • Oh and buffalo wings, specifically buffalo chicken dip (which is full of cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, and cheddar cheese)

    Makes sense right?  ;)

  • Saltine crackers. I honestly started eating them yesterday first thing in the morning before I even get up out of bed and I feel no nausea today!  yay!

By the way, I am suprised you can stomach eggs! They used to be one of my favs, but now even the thought of them and I am Ick!

  • Anything peppermint, i.e Tea, Gum, Candy, Mint Choc. Chip ice cream, etc.

I know...it's not very logical, but my Mom craved boiled eggs too.

my bff (who had a baby last sept) swears by those ginger pops! Ginger is a natural anti-nausea thing (can't think of the word LOL but you know what I mean)

  • I have found that eating pretty much anything helps, because I feel really sick on an empty stomach. But Sour Patch Kids seem to be helping too!
