I have twins Cameron and Evan born at 28wks 6days who currently have feeding tubes and significant fine and gross motor delays but those are improving by the day with the weight gained from the feeding tubes. But they also have oral aversions because of the feeding tubes.
I love this board and all the ladies and gentlemen here!
Hi, I'm Michelle! Waylon Joel was born 11/4/07 at 25 weeks 4 days. He weighed 1 lb. 14 oz, 13.25 inches long. He spent 4 months and 1 day in the NICU. Currently he's behind on his motor skills (that of a 6/7 month old.) But he's getting there!
Currently pregnant with #2, and making it past the point from when I had Waylon!!! Hoping to go full-term this time!!
I post occasionally... but my DD was born at 36w so I always feel a little silly posting when others here have been through so much more than we have, even though she did spend 2 weeks in NICU. I respect all the mommies on here so much!

I lurk. I didn't answer the poll though (obviously). I hope no one minds but I like to hear about how preemies are doing, what life is like with them since thanks to pre-E it looks like I'll be having one (hopefully not anytime soon - 7 more weeks at least please little one!) and reading your stories is helping to calm my nerves about it.

I'm Heather, mom to my little Finley! For unknown reasons, I went into PTL at 34 weeks and at 35 weeks 3 days we welcomed Finley. We've also dealt with reflux, but no major health impairments. Finley did wear a helmet for 10 weeks to treat his flat-spot, but that is happily behind us now.
Melissa - mom to Katie boron @ 34 weeks due severe pre-e/HELLP. She's 2, talking constantly, and always wanting Caillou. I strongly recommend never letting your children ever watch Caillou. I still have high BP that is under investigation.
Hi! I'm Jeni...mom to Sydney and Olivia born at 30weeks exactly due to IC/PTL/PROM....my girls were in the NICU for 13 LONG LONG weeks...we have our NICU follow up this week (THursday) and I"m dying to hear what they have to say about the girls...we're small IUGR babies...we did qualify for EI for our eating issues and some motor delays..but I think we're going to get kicked out of that soon. I spend most of my time on the bump 'running' between this board, SAIF, and the Multiples board...I find it MUCH safer that way!
