Last night I went to DH's cousins BD party and there were some people I hadn't seen in 10-12 years there. One girl graduated HS the year before I did and I hadn't seen her in at least 10 years. She came up to me and said, "are you pregnant?". I gave her my traditional, "I hope so or I've got a big problem". Then she asked me if I was happy about it. I was a bit shocked by that question. What type of question is that to ask a grown woman?
She asked me how many weeks i am. I told her 22 weeks and she responds..so is that like half way? Here's the kicker..this chick is a pharmacist. I was just kind of like..oh boy. Then it gets better she asked me what we are having and what we are naming the baby. I tell her a boy and that were naming the baby Garrett after our BFF. She then insults our BFF by saying, "yeah like he needs anything to make his head any bigger". She hasn't seen him in a decade. At this point I was ready to slap the girl with the stupid stick. I made a joke and tried to change the subject. This gal is one of those great smart-stupid people. Ugh.
People say the greatest things when you are pregnant!
