glider question

We didn't buy a glider/swing because my husband didn't think we'd need it - his first son didn't really like his. My newborn seems to really like rocking in the rocking chair and being patted and lightly jostled. Do you think we should get a glider and try it out?

How many of you have a glider and love it? Thank you!

Re: glider question

  • Me!  But I wanted a glider before I even got pregnant, so maybe I'm not the best one to ask.

  • I don't have one but I wish I did.  If I could afford one I would definitely buy it.
  • I got a glider but I haven't used it because it's in ds's room and he doesn't sleep in his crib, he sleeps in my room. I always rock ds in the recliner in the living room and he enjoys that so I'm sure he would like the glider if I actually used it.
  • We are transitioning DD to her crib now, and DH and I were just talking about how we need a glider in her room.  I didn't buy one before because they were so freaking expensive.  Now I wish I would have sucked it up and bought one.
  • i bought a really pricey one and have sat in nothing else since I was 6 mos. pregnant (sofa hurt my back), it is how we get DS to relax and sleep he loves snuggling and rocking in it. It is in our living room so I use it all day everyday for the past 4 months.
