Ditto. I think frigid b!tch from Frasier; obscure enough I'm sure it doesn't matter. Cool thing about the meaning- if she's ever afraid of monsters at night, you tell her what her name means and say there can't be monsters b/c she's the only one- haha- or at least that monsters can't come in houses where people with the name "Lilith" live. Although if she ever has a sibling that could be used against her in a name-calling war.

It's so funny you mention this name because I was just looking it up yesterday! I really like Lillian and Lily as a nn and I was looking for another option. The stuff I read up about Lilith though kinda turned me off to it. In modern Luciferianism Lilith is consort of Lucifer.
One of my daughters' names is Liliana. Love it, love it. Lots of great nn choices. We got to it because Dh's fave name was Lily and mine was Anna, so voila! And it's the italian and spanish variant of Lillian.
I always think of Lilith Fair.
Mom to Abigail & Liliana -- Identical Twin Girls -- April 2008 Baby #3 due September 12, 2014!
I believe there is some sort of Biblical connection somehow that Lilith was Adam's other wife (of Adam and Eve) but something happened and she's involved with Satan or something. I'd do a whole lot more research on this name before you use it. I believe there are a number of demonic associations. Google it or look it up on Wikipedia.

Okay, so I took my own advice and looked up Lilith on Wikipedia, and I'm going to have to go with a "hell, no" on using this name. Talk about giving you the creeps. This explains why there ARE no little girls named Lilith around.

Well, I think of Lilith Faire, the all girl concert series that I went to with my mom. Let's just say there were a lot of birkenstocks and au natural odors... yeah. not a great connection to the name.?
?
Lily on the other hand is a beautiful name. I prefer Lili and have both taught an adorable little girl and worked with a grown up Lili. ?
