I am so pissed right now...

A lot of you may not remember but when DS#2 was born a few months ago he went to get circumcised and got butchered instead. He ended having to have 11 stitches and is now only halfway circ'ed.

 Well we were at my MIL earlier and I was talking to one of my SIL's friends who was over there. She asked me about Dexter's surgery that he has to have to fix his circ. Then she asked what the lawyer's were saying and all that, I was like what lawyers? Well apparently they thought we were suing the hospital for messing up so bad. DH and I were not planning on it just because I'm not the type of person that just wants to sue someone. We were under the impression that it had something to do with the way his skin had grown. Well apparently her mom is an RN at the hospital and they are still talking about it and waiting on us to sue. She said that the nurses in the room told him about us having a history of hypospadias and that he may not need to be circ'ed. But he told them that he was the dr. and he needed to do this b/c he had other things to get to and didn't pay attention to any of the concerns I had told the nurses. That's why he messed up so bad - because he did have hypospadias and didn't need to be circ'ed at the time.

 I'm so pissed that if he would have listened to the nurses and MY concerns in the first place my son would be fine right now. They had to give him a nerve block at the base of his penis b/c he was in so much pain. They were also giving my 1 day old Tylenol on a regular basis.

So needless to say DH has already called and left a message for one of MIL's friends who is a lawyer. I'm so pissed right now and just had to get that out...

OMG. I remember your first post and was shocked you hadnt contacted a lawyer yet.  Im not one to jus sue anyone either but you had told him about they hypospadias before the circ. and he went ahead with it anyways.  Now you son has to go through more pain to fix what he screwed up. 

He should have to pay for his mistake. 

Im sorry you have to go through all this.  I hope you get it al lfigured out and that dr. pays for his huge mistake.  I also hope your lil one gets through his surgery ok and the problem is fixed.

I'm far from litigious but based on what you said in this post I think you have a good reason to sue. I would be fuming at that doctor's negligence.

I'm also not a litigious person, but I think at the very least, you suing will open up an investigation into the doctor's actions. If he was negligent (which it definitely sounds like he was) then he needs to be held accountable for that. I'm angry for you!
