Hi everyone,
?? ?I just recently found out I was expecting the other day. I am a bridesmaid on labor day weekend in September and will be about 27 weeks pregnant (knock on wood!). I already ordered the dress at the beginning of march. What do I do?? Just get the dress and then make "alterations?" later?? It's an empire waist dress so it'll be good for pregnancy...but I was just wondering if I should tell the bride and maybe call the dress store. I just don't want to jinx anything but at the same time I don't want to pay for this dress and then have to pay for another one! Oy.

Re: Bridesmaid Dress Question??
I was a bridesmaid at 25 weeks. I had ordered a dress 3 or 4 sizes too big then had it altered. It really didn't need to be taken in much... better to go too big than too small.
OK, trust me here. I used to work at David's Bridal and dealt with this all the time. Call asap, if the order has already been submitted you may be able to talk them into exchanging it for a few sizes up (get way bigger than you would imagining needing..even though it is empire waist). You can always take it on, but can't always let it out. Keep in mind that once they place the order it often takes months for the dresses to show up. And by the time it gets here it might be too late to order a bigger size and still have it arrive in time. Best to ere on the side of caution and call asap.
btw...where is the dress from?
I totally agree. Definately tell the bride right away too. You don't want to wait til it's too late.
