When to take mucinex DM?

So my doctor up'd my dosage of Clomid to 100 mg for 5 days starting today and then also had my get mucinex to make sure my CF doesn't dry out.

I also need to get a HSG done, but (maybe TMI) I can't this cycle because DH and I had sex on Wednesday and according to the lady in radiology you can't have intercourse after the first day of your new cycle until the date your HSG is done.

So that will have to wait until next month if nothing happens this cycle.  

Oh so to the point of my post what days should you take the mucinex?

I don't know the days, but it's supposed to be plain Mucinex, not Mucinex DM.

The active ingredient in the plain version is guaifenesin, and the DM version contains guaifenesin + dextromethorphan, which is a cough suppressant.

You can also find generic guaifenesin for cheaper than the Mucinex brand.

Ditto pp - don't take the DM version. I take the maximum strength, 12-hour extended release version twice a day from AF up until O is confirmed. Some people wait until closer to O to start taking it, but I start early just to be sure.

yep..make sure its PLAIN mucinex.  I was on Clomid as well and started the day AFTER my last Clomid pill for 6 days.  GL!
