Consumer Reports?

Have any of you guys subscribed to Consumer Reports to research everything you are purchasing or registering for?  We subscribed (to the online site) when we were purchasing new items for our home and found it really helpful, but we have since cancelled it.  I wanted to know if there was enough baby-related info on the site to reactivate our membership again (since they are offering us a deal now).

    I subscribe to CR online, and it has a fair number of baby products, however I also just bought the new baby bargains book and I think it is infinitely more helpful. ?

    A friend subscribes, so I looked up cribs on CR- 2 of the cribs have been recalled.

    The baby info didn't seem to be as up-to-date.

    I would think the baby bargains book and the online reviews of products would be more helpful than CR was.

    I subscribe to CR online, but, as pp said, I have also found Baby Bargains to be more insightful. ?However, I have cross-referenced info in Baby Bargains with info on CR just to cover my bases (luckily, they match up pretty well). ?I would say that getting Baby Bargains would be enough and not to spend the money on a new CR subscription.

    My boss has a login for consumer reports and he lets us use it.

    I also bought baby bargains. Great Resource.

    My BIL is a consumer reports freak. He looks up anything and everything before buying. With that said SIL (his wife) is 30 weeks PG... I plan on almost coping their big ticket items off their registry! Let me know if you are interested in finding anything out.

    Thanks guys.  Ya'll convinced me to go ahead and order the BB book from amazon -- I've been considering it for a while already.  My husband loved having Consumer Reports, so I'll see if this will hold him off for a bit.  hah.
