  • I don't know what I feel about the ending, my DH was making fun of me for crying though.  Definatley going to miss that show.
  • Boring. ?No wonder it got cancelled :)
  • It was very anti-climatic.  But I half expected that.  I haven't watched the show in so long I didn't know who any of the new doctors were.

  • Warning: might be some spoilers!

I thought it was pretty good.  I haven't watched in years so the Cater/kid thing kind of confused me but for the most part I kept up.

I thought the Rachel Green storyline was great.

It killed me about the old couple, I was bawling.

I think the mother/twin story was more to catch how the new doctor reacted to the situation, not necessarily the story itself.  The young doctor was questioning if she could be a doctor based on that situation.

    Same with the alcohol/teen story.

The ending I think was purposely anti-climatic.  It showed that life goes on for these doctors, they will continue to do what they do.

Overall, I thought it was good.

    ?

I think that's exactly what they were going for...the whole "it just continues on" mantra. ?

  • Yes...it was anti-climactic but it was SUPPOSED to be...it's symbolic.  It is just another example that ER life is just life for these people and it will continue in daily as it always did.  The slow days, the busy days, happy days, sad days...etc.

    SPOILERS

I also LOVED the Rachel Greene storyline.  I was SO happy that they still managed to work a piece of Mark Greene into the finale as he was my fave doc back in the day!  The episode of his death still makes me cry every time I think of it.

The elderly couple...well acted!  Perfectly sad and sweet.  "Is that it?"

The mother of five dying.  Horrible tragedy.  Again, another point that you just never know what will happen.  With happiness and joy can come sadness and fear.  It was more a storyline to outline Dr. Julie Wise and her fears of not being able to handle the ER.  Her conversation with Dr Brenner is so reminiscent of convos that have happened in the past between Dr Greene and Dr Carter, Carter and Pratt, etc.

The teen with alcohol poisoning...true story based on a teen who died this way in December.  They left that open ended for a reason and to teach a very important lesson.

Yes, life and death will continue at the ER in the imaginary halls of stage 11 and in the ER's of real life!

Perfect ending to my favorite show of all time.
