another pronunciation question...

this name is NMS but there have been a lot of italian/ spanish name posts lately so i was wondering if most people here would pronounce it loo-CHEE-ah-nuh, loo-SHE-ah-nuh, or would you say LUCY-ah-nuh?

I would pronounce it LUCY-ah-nuh.  I've never heard it spoken before, but that's how I instinctively pronounce it.

I think it could be pronounced any of those ways, but I think if I saw it in print, my first guess would be your first pronounciation, just because it looks like the boy's name Luciano, which is pronounced similarly, at least the one Luciano that I know.

I know someone whose name is Luciana and she pronounces it loo-CHEE-ah-nuh.  In Italian, "c" is pronounced like "ch."  It's a very pretty name, but I think a lot of people wouldn't know how to pronounce it.

My friend's niece is named this and they pronounce her name Lucy-ahna.
