We drove from Phoenix to San Diego today, about 6 hours in the car. We only made one stop, 1/2-way through for lunch. During the whole trip, there wasn't so much as a cry from the back seat. It was AMAZING!!
That IS impressive! Any tricks? We're taking a 7hr road trip for Easter and our boys aren't forward facing yet so no DVDs. They do like the car but it's a long drive.
Where did you stop for lunch? The boys are so hit and miss when it comes eating reg. food and I can't imagaine super healthy options on the road.
wow that's pretty amazing! I'm always impressed with mine when they make it from LA to San Diego without crying (which isn't all that often). How long are you there for? I'll be there this weekend

The kids are still rear facing - but they just chatted away to each other, snacked on raisins and snoozed most of the time. We stopped at subway for lunch, but I fed the boys chunks of cheese and some peas that I had in a tupperware type container. They made a huge, nasty mess in Subway We cleaned the mess up the best we could & left a big tip for the guys working there.... but I'm still totally embarrassed.
I'm not really sure how we managed to be so lucky. We did try to leave at their normal naptime, but we caravaned over here with my butthead parents and they got a late start. After lunch we let the guys toddle around for awhile and burn off energy, and I think that helped too.
Wow, that is amazing! We are planning a 600-mile trip this summer (Columbia, SC to Indy) and I am dreading it! Hope mine turn out to be good travelers like yours! I think the longest drive we've taken them on so far is 45 minutes!
