  • Try Lifetime Medical Associates:  Dr. Michael Williams.  They are an internist/pediatrics practice in Rochester Hills in the Wellpointe Building on South Blvd.  248-293-1002.  Good luck!  Jennifer

  • I go to Northeast Pediatrics.  They're on Rochester rd between Hamlin and Avon.  I really like them and have heard a number of great things from other people who also take their children there.

I don't take DS to Lifetime, but they also see adults so I go there myself.  I've seen Dr. Yoder and he's really nice.  The staff is always really friendly too

  • Pediatric Health Care at 18 1/2 and Mound.  They are awesome.  They appreciate that you are the parent, that you know them better than anybody else in the world, and that you don't make choices lightly.  My daughter has asthma, and had pneumonia one winter, when one of the nastiest flus was running rampant in the world, and it was in the peds unit in the hospital, along with several cases of rotovirus.  My daughter would NOT have been okay fighting pneumonia AND one of the other things, and as I have asthma, I am accustomed to what is okay as far as respirations, dosing meds, and etc.  I asked them to keep her out of the hospital, and they agreed that it WAS safer, and they would work with me to keep her home.  She was sick for SIX weeks.  I talked to them four or five times a day, at all hours.  I talked to them every night at 2am.  When my daughter was just about around the corner, Dr. McManus called me to check up.  She said something like, "Wow, you must be exhausted.  You have been at this for a long time.  Great job."  I burst into tears.  She waited till I was done, and we finished talking about dd's status.

Ds had a reaction to a delayed vax.  He never had another one.  When Dr. Deprez asked me why my kids weren't getting any more, even delayed, he was not argumentative, just wanted to know.  I told him. He completely understood.  He may not have agreed with my choice, I don't know...but he kept it to himself, and nobody in the practice has EVER asked us about vax for either child again.

The staff knows my children, no matter how long it has been since we've been there.  The kids like the docs, and look forward to seeing them again.  The docs do not talk down to you, and if I come in with info that they haven't heard before, rather than puffing their chests out and asking WHO went to med school for 8 years, they say, "wow, I did NOT know that...can you refer me to the article (or whatever)?  I would hate to be givng out inaccurate information."

    Their number is 586-254-7593

Our favorite docs are Wegner, Deprez, and McManus.  :)

  • I second Pediatric Health Care!  My son is 5 and I have NO complaints about them at all. We have not seen all of the doctors but have seen Wegner (sons normal dr.) Hugen, DePrez, and McManus.  All have been very nice.  Not sure about their vaccination theories, but the pp seemed to be very happy with her experience.  I never felt "pushed" in to having them and they always have asked if I had any questions or concerns.  I do know they have mercury free vaccines available as that was something I specifically asked about. My son was very sick with reflux when he was small and was having many issues including a possible milk allergy (I was nursing).   They constantly called to check on him (and me) at all hours.  I never felt like a burden and they seem like they genuinely care.  I have been very happy.  They also have later hours, seperate waiting areas for sick and healthy kids (I think many places do this) and same day sick appointments on Saturday.  Since it always seems like my son gets sick on Thrusday or Friday night, those Saturday appointments have been wonderful.
