DD has been crying at bedtime because she's hit the age she doesn't want to go. Thinks she's missing out on the fun downstairs. Gives it quite a go, calling for us from her room. Not a big deal, doesn't last long, but she's pretty p*ssed off, lol.

So, tonight we thought we'd watch her cues for when she was getting quiet & go through a more peaceful bedtime. DH stated he'd take charge (yep, surprised me too). So he dimmed the lights, turned off the TV, cuddled with her with her blanket & read her 2 books, warning her the whole time that bedtime was next. Took her upstairs, laid her down lovingly, and boom, OUT, not a sound.

DH gets a Parenting thumbs-up tonight!
