I don't think a frequent poster is necessarily an attention whore. ?I consider someone an "attention whore" when they are clearly posting just so people will pay attention to them--no question, vent or anything important to share, just random hypotheticals or npr-related thoughts in an attempt to draw attention to herself and/or stir the pot.
just clarifying b/c some frequent posters thought my PABST might be about them, and it definitely was not. :-)
Re: How do you define "AW" here?
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
Exactly. Kevs, I never see you screaming out for validation. (Which is a good thing.)
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
AW is posts about yourself and wanting attention for it. For example I aw'd yesterday about my bulbous thigh fat.
PWs I really don't mind because at least it gives us stuff to read! Especially when it is slow.as.hell.
Ditto this!
I think all regular posters are AWs/PWs to some extent or we wouldn't be regular posters on a message board. LOL. I think all of it in moderation is fine.
Posts by Sarah = AWing. I've never seen a post by you that wasn't AWing even when pretending not to.
Then again most posts are AWing, otherwise they would stay in our heads.
I don't care, I have no problem AWing at all. So what? If it irks you it must be worth doing :-)
