When that happens with us, we usually make DD some chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, or pasta.
She also usually eats what we eat. Last night MH made shrimp salad and I was sure she wouldn't eat it. So I made her chicken nuggets. She ended up devouring the shrimp salad!
I cook individual meals for DS and freeze them. When i know we're having something he doesn't eat, i'll microwave him one. I usually make home-made chicken nuggets, a veggie (like corn, green beans, broccoli, etc) and home-made mashed potatoes. I put them in those 3-comparment dishes and then stick them in a foodsaver bag.
They're great on the go too. If we're going out to dinner or to a friends/family house, we take one with us.
