I am a first grade teacher and I have known several 6 yr olds in the last couple years named Abigail or Abby for short....

My DD is named Abigail... we hemmed and hawed about the name because it is popular, but we just adored the name and it was the only girl name we both loved from the start.  There is a couple down the street from us who had a little girl in Nov and she is also named Abigail.  I'm a teacher and there is basically at least 1 Abigail in every grade in my elementary school.  Oh yeah, I live just north of Boston.
