If you have been to Aruba...

I am interested to hear any experiences of Aruba with children or experiences at the Tamarjin.  We have a family wedding to attend in January at the Tamarjin and my kids will be 3.5 and 8 months.  Although we were in Aruba for our honeymoon, we stayed at the Marriott and were childless.  This will be an entirely different experience!  Thanks!

  • Although we were in Aruba for our honeymoon, we stayed at the Marriott and were childless Ditto this, not sure how it will be. We were also childless and on our honeymoon (at teh Marriott).  I know H likes the beach.

  • I've only been to Aruba with no kids (honeymooned at the Bucuti), but I've read a ton of great things about taking kids to the Tamarjin.  We actually almost stayed there instead, but decided to go with the Bucuti since the Tamarijn is known to be more of a family place.  Hope you have a great trip.
  • I've been to Tamarjin twice - once as a single gal and again on our honeymoon. DH was disappointed and I have to admit that it wasn't as great as my first trip there. The hotel was more run-down then I had remembered. But, that said, the service is great, the food is yummy and definitely there are enough activities to keep you and the kiddos occupied!

  • We stayed at the Divi Divi for our honeymoon.  I think the Tam is part of Divi Divi, correct?  Anyhow, I think it would be fine with kids.  The beach may be a bit too windy for kids but we were always fine in the pool area.  Also, the Tam is closer to downtown than the skyrises so that's a plus.
