We are going with MIL's family for a week on the beach to celebrate the grandparents' 80th birthdays. While there, I had made mention, that it would be nice to throw BIL's wife a shower (since none of MIL's family would be able to get up north for one).
Well now it's a double shower and MIL wants me to register for somethings before then. Even when we go, I'll only be 18 weeks. I just feel like that's way too earlier to be tempting fate.
Anyone else think that?

BIL's wife didn't even know we were going to do a shower, and she's having 4 other showers: I wanted it to be a surprise for her, but MIL wants to include me too (she'll be 7 months). DH has 3 aunts (that's the only family), who all live in FL, that we know couldn't make it...so as my MIL calls is "it's more a sprinkle, than a shower".
lol
I registered around 18w because we were thinking my shower was going to be early. I was told by my doctor that I couldn't travel long distances after 28w and my SIL was expecting her baby around then, so it was all scheduling around those things.
So, no I don't think that's too early. We bought our car seats and stroller when I was only 11w because they were discontinuing the style I wanted and they only had a few left in stock!
