I LOVE Madelyn Rose, since that is the name we chose. I do prefer the traditional spelling however.

  • I think if you go with the #2 spelling it will be mispronounced her whole life...  Roselyn is very pretty!!
  • I really like the third one, Madelyn Rose. I think if you spelled Mya (pronounced Mia) a lot of people would pronounce it MY-A.  Just a thought. GL...all the names are beautiful!

  • Sorry for double posting it in the same post...I never did a click poll before so I had no idea what I was doing.....Sorry again.
  • ok, the first two are different names, not just different spellings.

    mia is mee-ah

    mya is my-ah

  • I love Madelyn Rose. Very pretty name.
  • I have known 2 Mia's, one when I was in elementary school, and I don't think anyon every picked on her about her name. That was a long time ago. I would be scared Mya would be pronounced My a causing more problems than Mia.
  • I have a Mia in my 8th grade class right now and , to my knowledge, none of the kids have ever made fun of her name...

ETA: I don't think that many kids are so familiar with the phrase "M.I.A." or "missing in action" that they would really make a connection...  JMO

  • Why would she get made fun of for spelling her name the way it's traditionally spelled? Mia is not weird or anything. Mya, however, will likely be mispronounced a lot. To me that says "my-a", not "me -a".
