stroller question for kids 3 yrs apart

my dd will be just shy of 3 when the baby is born.  She sometimes still uses the stroller but for the most part will walk or ride in the shopping cart.  I don't really want a double stroller, but what about the sit and stand strollers.  What did you do?

Re: stroller question for kids 3 yrs apart

  • We have not decided yet if we are getting a stroller for the two of them. I'm going to see how she does. If we get anything it will probably be a sit and stand.

  • Mine are just over 2 years apart and I don't have a double. I may get a sit-n-stand later, but for now either DD walks or they are both in a shopping cart. It's been working great so far.
  • good to hear..I really didn't want to buy another stroller
  • I would wait and see.  I have a double stroller, but only because I needed it for my SIL when DD was first born.  She babysat DD for us and had a newborn as well.  Since I have it I will use it at time, but most of the time my DD wants to walk.  I wouldn't have invested in one if I didn't have it already....in fact it's still in nearly new condition and I am debating about selling it.....
  • wait and see.  I walk a lot... walk a dog every day... and for ds' first 9 months I put him in a sling or bjorn and put dd in the single stroller.  worked fine.   I eventually did get a double b/c I walk so much with them.  I love it. I got the phil and ted sport.  works great for us.   My dd is still a big stroller person... we live in nyc and she walks some but likes to kick back in the doubles seat too.

definitely wait and reevaluate your needs after baby arrives.
