If you don't mind, what religeon are you? (If any) I know you mention not following the Christian faith from time to time, but I don't think I have heard you mention your religeon....
No problem I was raised (though not strict at all in my immediate family) Jewish. DH was raised Catholic. I would say I am technically Jewish, but I'm really not into any organized religion and DH definitely is as far from being Catholic as possible. He's not converted or anything (b/c we're just not all that into it so it doesn't matter), but if people ask him about it he says we're Jewish.
I'm not 100% sure what I believe (nto sure we can know), but I know it's definitely not anything to do w/ Jesus. I was taught to believe in Judaism, but there are, of course, some things in there that I don't agree with either, hence not being super religious or finding that stuff important to me. No, we don't go to any sort of worship anywhere or anything. I grew up going to temple on the high holidays when I was younger, but that was the extent of it. More of a social thing. haha
Interesting! I'm really not religious at all. I was "raised" Catholic in the sense that is our "identity," but we rarely went to church and didnt have lessons at home or anything. Never confirmed. All my siblings but me did spend a year in private Catholic school though, and my dad and all his siblings went to a Catholic school as children. I explored religion in high school, but never found one that really spoke to me. I believe there is "Something" I just dont presume to know what exactly it is. I imagine I will raise my kids the same way (the discover religion on your own method), but I havent decided. My husband is pretty much the same, although he did get confirmed to be a god father. He's pretty much left that decision to me.
Just felt I'd share since you did.

e - sounds very similar to our beliefs. DH's family is pretty religious still, but he definitely isn't. We believe there is probably something out there, but also just really aren't sure and like a lot of different ideas from different religions. A lot of the things in Christianity (and even Judaism) just seem so made up to us for various reasons that we don't feel right believing one thing wholeheartedly. I never had a Bat Mitzvah or anything either to "confirm" me and we won't be doing any of that type of stuff (Jewish or Catholic) w/ our kids. (Thought DH's family, 4 times divorced, keeps asking if we're going to have a Christening. lol Um, I think not!)

Just to clarify...
As far as Jesus and faith guidlines, you believe the Jewish version, but do not go to temple (is that right?) and that kind of thing?
