Are you transitioning to the crib right now? Maybe you should wait. It could be either. My baby was waking me up on the hour during his 3 month growth spurt. His sleep really hasn't straightened out either. He slept better as a newborn than he does now.
A couple of days... does he seem to be eating more mod?? More often, longer periods of time? That's a sign of growth sprut, other wise it might just be the crib! Good luck!
My baby's seemed to last a week - maybe a week and a half? But he has always had long growth spurts (and is currently wearing 9 month old clothes because he's so long).
At least if he's in the bassinett, you don't have to make such a production about getting him out of bed. Well, unless your nursery is close to your room. Mine isn't.

well, eating more at night yes!! he was going every 4 hours, then every 3 after that. daytime is always every 2 hours for us no matter what.

I could have written this. DS was SUCH a good sleeper (weeks 6-11)- hit his growth spurt and now we're STILL all over the place. It's awful.
Re: is it the transition to the crib or 3 week growth spurt?
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
i will maybe try him back in his bassinet tonight to see if he sleeps normally. a test, a test!
