Am I over reacting?

The incident happened over the weekend and I'm still fuming and hurt by it.....

How would you react if your MIL called your child a "fat peice of meat" to your SIL who was calling him a chubball. 

I got pissed, stopped talking, and proceeded to fight with DH and told him to tell them next time I'll fvcking go off.

Well I'd still be mad too, but I don't know if I'd go as far as the last line of your post.

Chubball is a cute name.  "Fat piece of meat" is not.  I'd be pissed.

Who says that? I would have addressed MIL as soon as she said it. I don't know why someone would ever call a child a "fat piece of meat."

I should have phrased it better.  There's just been a lot with ILs since he was born, this just took the cake.

I'd get really mad! I'msorry, but that's just wrong. Maybe cause my girl is chubby and I grew up chubby and was teased.  I just can't handle that. I'm ok with "chubby" ..that's innocent. But "fat piece of meat"..um NO!
