FWIW---I dont' care if you chose to hoover and THAT is what works for your family...good for you...I just do get offended when its implied that because I chose NOT to hoover, I care less for my kids.
I don't think I could POSSIBLY helicopter when I have 3 young ones. maybe its easier with one...but with 3, impossible.
I am a helicopter mom.. I can't help it. Emilia attracts danger like a magnet and would be in a full body bubble if I could put her in one. She would also need a helmet and mouthguard!
I think that MMML is just very very insecure as a parent and that is why she says completely off the wall generalizations about people who do not feel and act the way she does. I mean I put a pic of my kids with our dog in our crate and I'm pretty sure she would actually think I *really* do that..or at least something equally as negelectful. She has no sense of humor or really any sense of reason when it comes to parenting topics. It is funny though to think about her actually asking her SIL to watch her child (and he is not a baby anymore) so that she can cook dinner. I don't know how I could get anything done around here if things were that tough for me...luckily I can multi task and watch the kids or I'd be screwed!
I am a total helicopter parent, and I wish I could loosen up a little more. I try, but since I have an only she is very needy of me as well. It's a tough cycle for the two of us to break.
