Anyone carry low and round and have a girl?

I know this is just an old wives tale, but my mom is starting to freak me out.  Every time I see her she says to me, "are they sure its a girl? I definitely think you're having a boy. They can be wrong you know."

I mean, at my big u/s they had a hard time telling what it was, but said 75% girl.  I went and got another one to be more certain and this time the tech said she was just about 100% positive.

Ugh, I'm just frustrated by my mom I guess.  And I better NOT have a boy because I have so much girl stuff and NO boy stuff!

  • I was low my entire pregnancy with my DD. It was impossible to tell if she dropped at the end of my pregnancy as she was so low.

  • I carried both babies the same; low and right out in front.  Like a basketball under my shirt.

I'm not sure I would put too much value into those old wives tales!  =)

  • this was about a month before I had S. ?

  • I did in my first pg. I carried low the entire time and didn't gain much other than baby weight so everyone said it looked like I was carrying a boy. I exercised a lot and didn't think she had a chance to be high fighting against gravity.

My IL's keep asking me "are you sure it's a girl" just because they want a boy. I went off on them last time. Parents are so much fun.

  • I carried like that and I have 3 girls.

  • Yep, I was low & round.
  • With DS, i gained all over. Every one was convinced he was going to be a girl.

This time i'm having a girl and i look like i'm carrying a boy - low and round.

  • Everyone keeps saying to me, "Are you having a boy?" because apparently I am carrying low and round. Just had another u/s last week..it's definitely a girl.
